About Me
My name is Michael Denomy and I am a software developer in the Boston area. Welcome to my blog.
I have been developing software professionally for about 20 years. My area of expertise is in developing applications for the medical device and laboratory automation fields.
More than languages, tools, or technologies, I am driven by ways that teams can collaborate to make robust software, on-time, and on-budget. Software often suffers in comparison to other engineering disciplines (e.g., electrical/mechanical) for being undisciplined and unreliable. This doesn’t have to be the case. I am very interested in test-driven development (TDD) , continuous integration (CI), Agile methods, and iterative development.
For the last fews years I have been developing in C# for Windows platforms using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Team Foundation. I use MbUnit and NMock2 for unit testing and CruiseControl .NET for continuous integration.
Watch out,
coming at you from all angles !
Cool link to James Shore’s blog. Thanks.
Who was his book ?
I am eating up all I can on Agile.
It has hit me as the way I have been trying to program for years and years.
I just haven’t been able to get into a company with enough knowledge or motivation to practice iterative (and incremental) development.
Say, do you get any of the publications from the SQE ?
I went to the BetterSoftware conference in LasVegas last year. What an eye opener {//}
adios
